a public boarding school for boys (harrow school) and a day school (john lyon school) the award of prizes grants scholarships bursaries and other awards to or for the benefit of pupils or former pupils of the school to apply the income arising therefrom for the benefit of harrow school in such manner as the governors shall from time to time with the approval of the head master for the time being of the said school in writing direct the trustees shall apply the clear income of the charity in or towards the upkeep and maintenance of the said land, and subject thereto in or towards the provision of recreational facilities for the use by the pupils of the said school as the trustee thinks fit. for use as a cricket ground and otherwise as a place of recreation for the scholars of harrow school and for such purposes and in such manner as the trustees shall from time to time think most expedient to be applied by them at their uncontrolled discretion in or towards the purchase of any land and or the erection thereon or elsewhere of any building or buildings or for any other objects which they shall consider to be necessary or convenient for the purposes of harrow school..
