to help the youth hostels association (england and wales) to carry on, maintaining and keep wilderhope manor in use as a youth hostel and for the purpose the yearly income of the fund is to be applied each year in or towards the discharge of any deficit in the carrying on, running and wardening of the property as a youth hostel a) to help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the cultural values of towns and cities, particularly by providing youth hostels or other accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, recreation and education;b) such other charitable purposes as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion from time to time think fit. the provision of assistance financial or otherwise to enable needy or handicapped young persons (that is to say persons under the age of 18 years) to enjoy the benefits of youth hostelling activities and without restricting the generality of the foregoing to enable teachers and bona fide youth leaders to arrange for needy or handicapped young persons to participate in such benefits.
