"temporary assistance to musicians in need or distress. temporary assistance to musicians in need or distress. to pay pensions and grants and to assist members in times of convalescence. to pay pensions, grants and assist members in times of convalescence to relieve needy classical music students. the advancement and promotion of the education of the public in the art or science of music by in particular(but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing)the assistance and encouragement of musically talented children in regular attendance at primary or secondary schools in the united kingdom. to advance and promote the education of the public in the art or science of music. the advancement and promotion of the education of the public in the art or science of music in particular the assistance and encouragement of talented violinists of all nationalities to benefit young musicians by the granting of awards for the purpose of post-graduate study and sponsoring performance opportunities for young professionals in the instrumental and vocal musical arts see individual constituents the encouragement, study, practice and development of the art of music in great britain and northern ireland. the objects for which the association is established (the ""objects"") are for the public benefit: (a) to relieve poverty and financial hardship and to advance education among: (1) musicians; (2) those persons (not being members of the association) who work or have worked in professions or occupations closely connected with music and who in the opinion of the association have rendered valuable service to music; (3) the spouses, children and other dependents of those set out in (1) and (2) above; and (b) to advance musical education among musicians and also among members of the public. nothing in these articles shall authorise an application of the association’s property for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and/or section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008. the object of the trust shall be the advancement of education, the relief of povery, the promotion of religion and such other public objects being charitable as the trustees may in their discretion form time to time and at any time decide including without prejudice to the generality of the fore going the advancement of the education of the public in the art of music, in particular by the provision of scholarships or bursaries at established music schools for post-graduate work. an annual scholarship for soprano or mezzo soprano or contralto singers for advanced study in paris to pay the same to the musician, benevolent fund of 7b carlos place london w.1. or if such fund shall fail or cease to exist then upon trust to pay the income from my residue to such other charitable institution (having if possible objects similar to the present objects of the musicians benevolent fund) as the bank shall at its absolute discretion think fit.. for the advancement of the musical education of the young in relation to the cello to advance public education, in particular, but not exclusively, in the art of music, by making grants and providing educational facilities for students aged 30 years and over. a common investment fund established by a scheme of the charity commissioners dated 31 december 1990 for the benefit of the charities named in that scheme. the object of the charity is the relief of poverty and financial hardship of older musicians who need substantial support to enable them to enjoy an adequate quality of life, to live independently, or to access the care they require.
