FOR WELFARE GRANTS NOT EXCEEDING ú250 EACH TO ELDERLY MEN the charity's objects are to relieve, based in the city of westminster and in accordance with christian values, the needs of homeless women, and in particular by providing: 1 hostel accommodation, 2 day centre facilities, 3 resettlement support. for the general purposes of portman house to provide a cot in each of the orphanages of the church army to be named ""the charlotte cot"" income to be divided equally between a) work for aged people and anchorage homes b) board and lodging department (women and girls) c) distressed gentle-women d) fresh air department e) assistance of gentlewomen and professional men f) men's lodging homes g) prisoners' and family relief department h) centres for unemployed i) discharged prisoners' aid fund. clear yearly income to be applied in or towards the support of any home situate in england for fallen or friendless females. income to be applied in or towards the upkeep and repair of any home for poor women and girls administered by the church army. towards the upkeep and repair of any property belonging to the body corporate called the church army and used for the purpose of a residence for a retired church army van captain or a retired church army official. to bring people to a personal faith in jesus christ by (a) providing trained evangelists and lay agents to assist the advancement of the christian religion, (b) preaching the need of conversion, holiness of life and church membership, (c) relieving poverty and distress"
