providing holidays, including adventure training and foreign travel the general benefit of children and young people with physical or multiple handicap or with learning difficulties who are cared for in or by any establishment or project administered by barnardo's in such charitable ways as the trustee thinks fit a) the training of young people in seamanship and sailing; andb) if the charity's funds cannot be wholly applied towards this, furthering the general charitable purposes of barnardo's the general purposes of barnardo's advancing the education or relieving the poverty or providing for the care maintenance or protection of girls or boys or young persons under the age of 25 years the education and training of children and young people in such ways as the trustees thinks fit to be invested in trust for that charity and income from that investment must be used for the general charitable purpose of the beneficiary referred to in the name of that charity the trustee shall apply the income of the charity in improving the children and young persons in any one or more of the following ways: 1. in the relief of need, hardship and distress among such persons;2. in promoting the education (including social and physical training ) of such persons and in particular by the provision of undenominational religious education;3. in assisting such persons who are in need of financial assistance and who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in any profession, trade, occupation or service, by providing them with outfits, or by paying fees, travelling or maintenance expenses , or by such other means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their living as the trustee thinks fit. shall apply the income and, at its discretion , the whole or any part of the property of the charity in or towards improving and extending springhill school at ripon and otherwise for the benefit of children attending that school.
