"relief of widows and children of men lost in the act of saving others income to be applied for some special purpose (the r.n.l.b.i apply the income for the benefit of widows and orphans of men who lose their lives in the life-boat service, or of persons injured in the service) to pay certain annuities and balance for aberystwyth life-boat station upkeep to provide and equip a life boat to be of any of the institution's lifeboats stationed on the northumberland coast. provision of lifeboat in perpetuity for plymouth to be named ""thomas forehead and mary rowse"" to provide a life boat to be called ""col stock"" and a boathouse and to accumulate income to replace and maintain stock life-boat on english coast. benefit of crews or their dependents of ""blake"" life-boats, or failing such boats the crew or their dependents of any other boat on the irish coast. distribution of income annuall to recipients of institution's gold and/or silver medal. pensions and rewards to yorkshire life-boatmen their widows and children. relief of injured persons, widows and orphans of persons drowned in saving life on coasts of england, wales and scotland. yearly income divided equally amongst men then composing the crew of the life boat stationed at or nearest staithes. provision of life boat to be named the alfred and patience gottwald maintenance of the teesmouth lifeboat. income applied to the redcar lifeboat station. an award to be given annually to the inshore rescue boat crew who have given outstanding service. to provide life-boat at aberdeen to be called ""the euphemia milne"" to provide life-boat at cullercoats to provide a new life-boat at margate when the need arises, to be called ""bill mellis"" life-boat. maintenance of richardson life-boats. income to be applied for lancashire coast including liverpool bay at discretion of committee of management. to benefit by grants or otherwise children (being 18 years of age or less) who are mentally or physically disabled or handicapped or retarded and where the father or mother is or has been employee or and/or voluntary worker and/or lifeboat crew member for the rnli or whether or not connected with the rnli who has been actively engaged in the saving or preservation of life at sea including by way or example but not of limitation a member of the coastguard service or a helicopter air sea rescue crew and which said children need something extra to help their mobility progress or education or to relieve their distress so as to become more able to take their place as self-sufficient in the adult world. income to be applied for the protection of lives from shipwrecks on the coast of lincolnshire income to be applied in the paying, pensioning, or otherwise rewarding of men who are employed or have been employed in manning any lifeboat at whitby or upgang or widows, children or other dependents of such men. a sum not exceeding five pounds to life-boatman who has performed the bravest act of life saving each year. balance for general purposes of institution annually one pound each to most needy widows whose husbands lost their lives in the life-boat service. income divided equally on the 21 december every year among men of skegness life-boat grants as set out in scheme of 25 november 1919 to provide life-boat to be stationed at bembridge to be named ""jack shayler"" to provide and maintain a life-boat at or near llandudno to be named ""lily wainwright"". 3. the object of the institution (""the object"") shall be to save lives at sea and on inland and flood waters. in order to achieve the object, the powers of the institution shall without limitation include the following:3.1 to promote safety and provide relief from disaster at sea and on inland and flood waters;3.2 to advance the education of the public in matters relating to safety at sea and on inland and flood waters and in the history and heritage of the institution;3.3 to promote the efficiency of rescue services at sea and on inland and flood waters; and3.4 to relieve and assist those who have been involved in saving lives at sea and on inland and flood waters in any capacity and who are in need of such relief or assistance by reason of poverty, disability, infirmity or otherwise, and the dependents. to be invested in trust for that charity and income from that investment must be used for the general charitable purposes of the beneficiary referred to in the name of that charity the objects of the charity are the advancement of education of the public and promoting the work of the rnli by exhibiting, interpreting, conserving and caring for objects and archive collections of actual or potential historical or educational value, the collection, collation and dissemination of historical data all relating to the heritage of the royal national lifeboat institution and maintaining museums galleries libraries and other places where such purposes may be achieved the objects are to advance the education of the public in the history and heritage of the rnli in particular but not exclusively by collating, caring for and conserving a collection of objects and archives of historical or educational value all relating to the history and heritage of the rnli, and to permit the use of that collection, in such manner and by such persons as the trustees shall decide for the public benefit."
