to be applied for the protection of lives from shipwrecks on the coast of lincolnshire income to be applied in the paying, pensioning, or otherwise rewarding of men who are employed or have been employed in manning any lifeboat at whitby or upgang or widows, children or other dependents of such men. a sum not exceeding five pounds to life-boatman who has performed the bravest act of life such relief or assistance by reason of poverty, disability, infirmity or otherwise, and the dependents. to be invested in trust for that charity and income from that investment must be used for the general charitable purposes of the beneficiary referred to in the name of that charity the objects of the charity are the advancement of education of the public and promoting the work of the rnli by exhibiting, interpreting, conserving and caring for objects and archive collections of actual or potential historical or educational value, the collection, collation and dissemination of historical data all relating to the heritage of the royal national lifeboat institution and maintaining museums galleries libraries and other places where such purposes may be achieved the objects are to advance the education of the public in the history and heritage of the rnli in particular but not exclusively by collating, caring for and conserving a collection of objects and archives of historical or educational value all relating to the history and heritage of the rnli, and to permit the use of that collection, in such manner and by such persons as the trustees shall decide for the public benefit."
