for the purpose of purchasing or contribution of the purchase of an oil painting worthy of inclusion in the national gallery or tate gallery collections. to secure by purchase gift or otherwise, works of art for presentation to the laing art gallery, such works of art to be associated with the name the wb bond bequest. the purchase of works of art or articles of vertu and/or antiquity and particularly british and european porcelain silver textiles jewellery drawings or illuminated manscripts. income to be used for acquiring objects of art to be added to the permanent collection in the aberdeen art gallery. income to be applied for the benefit of the department of prints and drawings in the british museum by the purchase of such works of art whether ancient or modern as shall be suitable to the department. income to be applied for the purchase of pictures and other works of art at least one hundred years old. pictures for permanent exhibition in london. purchase of paintings or drawings of the french impressionist school for museums in london or for the university of oxford. to secure by purchase, gift, exchange, bequest or otherwise works of art, and objects of national and historical importance for presentation or loan to public art collections in our united kingdom and the commonwealth and to the national trust for places of historic interest or natural beauty and the national trust for scotland for public exhibition such presentation or loan to be made subject to such conditions and terms as are required.
