1.1.1 to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment both on land and sea, in particular but not exclusively in dorset by: (a) establishing and maintaining nature reserves, wildlife habitats and natural spaces;(b) surveying, recording, researching and studying the natural environment; and(c) engaging people with their environment through events, centres, volunteering and/or other means.1.1.2 to advance the education of the public in and inform them about the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment, and the natural sciences both on land and sea in particular but not exclusively in dorset by:(a) providing walks, talks, events, meetings, digital and other means of communication; and (b) advocating good practice and promoting environmentally sustainable lifestyles and working. 2.1 the objects of the charity are for the public benefit:2.1.1 to acquire land suitable for the establishment of new nature reserves in dorset to be owned and managed by the dorset wildlife trust;2.1.2 to acquire land adjoining or close to existing dorset wildlife trust nature reserve which enhances their wildlife value by extending the acreage of land managed for nature conservation;2.1.3 to manage existing and new dorset wildlife trust reserves in order to maintain and enhance their wildlife value;2.1.4 to promote the recording of habitats and species and the monitoring of wildlife populations on such dorset wildlife trust reserves; 2.1.5 to promote education and enjoyment of such dorset wildlife trust reserves with emphasis on local people and youth subject always to priority being given to wildlife conservation.
