the objects of the cio are:(1) to relieve persons anywhere in the world who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.(2) to relieve, for the benefit of the public, the suffering of animals in need of care and attention, and to promote humane behaviour towards animals by the provision of appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals that are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage, and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.(3) to promote, for the benefit of the public, the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment and to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.(4) the relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people. (5) any other charitable purpose within the meaning of the charities act 2011.
