"to promote the following charitable purposes for the benefit of the chinese inhabitants of leeds and the neighbourhood (hereinafter called the ""area of benefit"") in particular (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) for the benefit of the chinese community, their family and friends, but without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, colour or of political, religious or other opinions, they are:1) the relief of poverty and sickness;2) the advancement of education;3) the provision of facilities for those who are in need thereof;4) the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation for the benefit of the said inhabitants, in particular, to establish, or secure the establishment of, a community centre (hereinafter called ""the centre"") and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects."
