Objects:

the object of the charity is the relief of financial hardship of deserving individuals or a group of deserving individuals ordinarily resident in cardiff by making grants of money for the provision of goods, services or facilities. the object of the charity is to advance the education of deserving people ordinarily resident in cardiff where assistance is not otherwise available by awarding grants in the form of prizes, scholarships, exhibitions or bursaries. for the public benefit to advance the education of persons between the ages of 11 years and 25 years resident in the area of benefit in such ways that are not required to be provided by the local education authority. the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of the district of montgomeryshire with the object of improving the conditions of life for those inhabitants providing and maintaining a scholarship or scholarships to be called the thomas john jones scholarships to assist beneficiaries in undertaking courses of study or training in subjects of advanced technical education (other than pure science) at such university, college or other institution of further education, whether in this country or abroad, as the trustees may approve. (for further details see clause 23 of scheme) for the purposes of the technical and industrial institutions act 1892 or any statutory modification thereof with a special intent that the same shall be employed for the purposes of agricultural education or agricultural experiment or for the teaching of the most practical methods of agricultural co-operation or the teaching and practice of forestry or for any of these subjects under said act. the maintenance of stuart rendel exhibitions, tenable at the university college of wales, aberystwyth. in or towards general educational purposes in the former county of brecknockshire the promotion of any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in wales including the advancement of education, the protection of good health both mental and physical, and the relief of poverty and sickness and other exclusively charitable purposes which are beneficial to the communities in wales.other exclusively charitable purposes in the united kingdom and elsewhere which are, in the opinion of the trustees, beneficial to the community with a preference for those in the area of benefit. the object of the charity is to advance the education of children and young people under the age of 25 who live in the parish of rudbaxton. objectsthe residue of the annual income of the principal trust fund shall be applied by the council in one or more of the following ways for the benefit of boys and girls resident in the county of monmouth who have for not less than two years at any time attended a county secondary school in the county of monmouth or the county secondary schools at gellygaer in the county of glamorgan, or the county secondary schools in the county borough of newport, and who, in the opinion of the council, are in need of financial assistance:a)the award of exhibitions tenable at any training college for teachers, university or other institution of further (including professional and technical) education approved by the council, to be awarded under rules to be made by the council, including rules as to the value and period of tenure of the exhibitions and the qualifications, and method of ascertainment and selection of candidates;b) the provision of financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable benificiaries on leaving school, university or any other educational establishment, to prepare for, or to assist their entry into, a profession, trade or calling;c) the award of scholarships or maintenance allowances to enable beneficiaries to study music or other arts;andd) otherwise promoting the education (including social and physical training) of beneficiaries.
