to further such charitable purpose or purposes as the trustee shall think fit, relating:-a) to hospital services, including research; orb) to any other part of the health service associated with any hospital for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the national health service wholly or mainly for the royal brompton hospital nhs trust for any charitable purpose or purposes, principally (but not exclusively) at or in connection with the royal brompton hospital nhs trust which will further the following aims:-1) the investigation of the causes of sickness, disease and disability in all its forms2) the advancement of scientific and medical education and research in topics related to sickness, disease and disability (provided that the results of any research be published)3) the furtherance of any other charitable purposes for the relief of persons suffering from sickness, disease and disability for the relief of patients suffering from sickness, disease and disability who have been treated at the royal brompton hospital nhs trust generally and by promoting the efficient performance of their duties by the staff of that nhs trust to establish a lectureship on any subject concerned with cardiovascular radiology as decided by the medical committee of the national heart hospital in accordance with the wishes of dr jefferson for the promotion and advancement of medical science and knowledge in relation to cardiac surgery and diseases of the heart to consolidate the investments, assets and money of the charities into one pooled fund (for further details see scheme) (1) the benefit and assistance on their discharge of needy and deserving in-patients of any hospital from time to time comprised in the group of hospitals under the management of the board of governors of the hospitals for diseases of the chest. (2) if and in so far as the yearly income is not required for application in manner aforesaid the trustees may apply the same for assisting in cases of need patients who are receiving treatment at any hospital in the said group. the charityâ€™s objects are restricted specifically to the following: (a) the support of any charitable purpose relating to the health service in particular but not exclusively by funding research and the support and treatment of patients with heart and lung conditions; and (b) the advancement of health by any charitable means.
